A Little Bit About Me
I’m Hannah, the person behind Modern Martha Living.
I’ve always loved old things, beautiful tables, useful skills, and the little details that make a house feel cared for. I’m the person who can turn an ordinary Saturday into an estate sale, a trip to the grocery store into an excuse to make something from scratch, and a perfectly good empty table into a reason to invite people over.
I like things that are useful, but I also like things simply because they’re beautiful. I like old books with notes in the margins, dishes that don’t match quite perfectly, flowers from the garden, a loaf of bread cooling on the counter, and recipes that are good enough to make twice.
I’m interested in the kind of homemaking that happens in real life. The meals that get made on busy evenings. The projects that take longer than expected. The table that was set beautifully but still ends up covered in crumbs. The skills you learn because eventually you realize it would be rather nice to know how to do them.
Modern Martha Living is where I share what I’m learning, what I’m making, what I’m finding, and what I think is worth keeping.
More than anything, it’s a record of the kind of home and life I want to build: welcoming, useful, beautiful, a little bit old-fashioned, and very much lived in.
I’m glad you’re here.
